Mushroom Barley Soup
Bake in a roasting pan:
Lots of mushrooms and onions for about an hour at 350.
Measure out 8 ounces and put it in a small crock pot with 4 ounces of cooked barley and a cup of water before you leave for work and you will come home to a pot of yummy soup. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
If you want a bigger pot of soup, you can put in your 4 ounces of cooked meat and another cup of water. It is very satisfying, but you don't get your separate protein.
